Impact Handling and Ceva Logistics lift IMHX

Impact Handling, the leading UK handling specialist, in collaboration with Ceva Logistics Show Freight, the leading logistics provider to the exhibition industry, have been appointed to provide material handling equipment and support for the IMHX 2019 exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham.

The agreement builds on both Impact’s strong track record in show freight handling as well as its recent successful collaborations with Ceva Logistics on other figurehead exhibitions across the UK.

Marcus Knight, National Operations Manager at Impact handling says: “It is, of course, a great honour to have been chosen, from amongst our peers, to provide all of the material handling equipment at what is the figurehead event for our industry. I think it is a strong endorsement of the proactive approach we take to customer’s challenges and goals as well as the unique flexibility we offer.”

Impact and Ceva are keen to use the opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of greener handling technology within the event management space, with the fleet including a number of the latest generation, zero-emmission, Cat® Lift Trucks 80-volt electric machines.

In total Impact will supply 25 trucks for the set-up and break-down of the IMHX show, ranging from 3-tonne Cat diesels to a 16-tonne Konecranes heavy duty lift truck. The electric trucks are being supported on site with spare batteries and dedicated charging equipment.

Mark Bristoll, Sales Director at Ceva Logistics Show Freight comments: “Ceva is a very forward looking company. We want to know what the future looks like and understand how we can lead the industry to it. So, we are particularly excited about exploring the capabilities of the latest electric lift trucks and are really looking forward to collaborating with Impact, once again, as we take an important step forward in improving the green credentials of material handling within the exhibition industry. And doing so while still delivering absolute excellence in logistics support.”

Impact offer one of the largest, readily available, short term hire handling equipment fleets in the UK. The fleet carries a wide range of the latest machinery from Cat, including Diesel, Gas and Electric trucks, as well as specialist and heavy duty equipment from manufacturers including Konecranes, Carer, Mol and Spijkstaal. All equipment is available for delivery anywhere in the UK and comes with the full support of Impact’s nationwide engineering and customer care teams.

Impact will be exhibiting at IMHX on stand 6E215, where they will be showcasing the latest low emissions technologies and safety systems, including those featured on the equipment deployed for the show, alongside its full range of premium brands and solutions.
