Year 3 is your final year and will be a year of development. We will delve into all previously covered systems and look at diagnostics to determine what the problem is and how to fix it. You will increase ownership of individual tasks, ensure all relevant paperwork is signed off in accordance with policy and increase customer interaction. This is a year which will get you ready for a full-time career as an engineer with our company!
In year 2 you will be more comfortable with the company, its products, and your surroundings, this will enable us to focus on increasing your competence and confidence in a number of areas. Health And Safety will again be covered in different areas and in more detail. Technically you will look at engines, cooling, fuel, air, exhaust, and driveline systems. The 2nd year will conclude with more detailed product knowledge, key soft skills, equipment inspection and routine maintenance.
Year 1 will include a full induction to the company and wider group, this will include information on our supported brands of equipment as well as team integration. You will be assigned a company mentor and carry out numerous training courses in Health and Safety. These will include general Health and Safety in the workplace, Driver Training, Working at Height and Risk Assessments, product familiarisation as well as basic electronics and a glimpse of future technology will round out your first year with us.
